Francis J. Arnold

Born to the late Joseph and Helen (nee' Bauman) Arnold, he was one of ten children with siblings Joseph, Vincent, Robert, Clarence, Oliver, Helen, Charles, Rose Mary, and Raymond.

Francis married the love of his life, Florence (nee' Zurfluh) Arnold on January 11, 1947 at St. Edward’s Church in St. Louis. Together they raised eight children, Margaret (Peggy), Michael, Paul, Francis (Frank), Karen, Teresa (Teri), Mary, and David.

In addition to his children, Francis leaves twelve grandchildren to cherish his memory; Eric, Sarah, Donna, Michael, Megan, Amanda, Bradley, Melissa, Skylar, Jessie, Jennifer, and Bryan.

Francis was a 1937 graduate of McBride High School and worked for over 35 years with Boatmen’s Bancshares and A.G. Edwards and Sons retiring in 1989. He was a member of St. Christopher’s Catholic Church.

A prayer service will be conducted to celebrate Mr. Arnold’s life on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 2pm at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa Street 63109. Friends may gather with the family from 11am until the time of the service. Francis will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Saint Louis immediately following the service.
