Barbara L. Hunter, 81, of Mardela Springs passed away Saturday June 18, 2016 at her home. Born December 4, 1934 she was the daughter of the late A.K. Longfellow and Sarah Dawson Longfellow. She was a loving wife and aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed photography, taking the children to the boardwalk in Ocean City, and loved going clamming and fishing. She is survived by sister, Shirley Ringgold; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Hunter in 1999; brothers, Donald, Bobby, and Bruce Longfellow. A special thank you to Robin Webster for her loving care during Barbara’s time of need. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11am at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury. Interment will follow in Springhill Memory Gardens. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6pm-8pm at the funeral home.
