

Betty L. Cordrey, 95, entered eternal rest on August 9, 2015, at Hospice by the Lake. She was the daughter of the late Edward Donoho and Annie Cox Donoho. She is survived by a daughter, Judith Gilliss of Sharptown; three granddaughters and their spouses, Sharon Melone of Seaford, Carol and Ozzie Wilkinson of Hebron, and Vicki and Chuck Campbell of Milford; seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Hursel Cordrey; a still born son; a brother, Ward Donoho; and a grandson-in-law, Dennis Melone. Betty worked for many years as a seamstress at Bounds Shirt Factory. She loved flowers and birds, and enjoyed hymn sings and listening to the Kings’ Ambassadors. There is nothing she loved more than sitting and talking with family and friends. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Athol where she was raised and for many years was very active with church dinners. In later years she attended Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Mardela Springs. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11AM at Bounds Funeral Home in Salisbury, with visitation one hour prior thereto. Interment will follow in Mardela Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Mt.
