David "Dave" W. Collins

David “Dave” W. Collins, 82, of Parsonsburg passed away Friday, February 23, 2024 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake. Born December 11, 1941 in Salisbury and raised in Gumboro, DE he was the son of the late Edward and Nettie Collins.

Dave worked for Perdue delivering biddies and feed, and then for Pepsi, and most recently for NKS Distributors in Milford for 29 ½ years as a beer distributor until his retirement. A family man, Dave enjoyed gardening, watching westerns, and all sports.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Andrea Collins; four children, Donna Ring (Alan), Joan Collins-Hall, Steve Collins (Tina), and Judy Collins; seventeen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Joe Collins; sister, Fay Tracy; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, George Collins.

A funeral service will be held Friday at 11am at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Springhill Memory Gardens.
