George Bruce Gordy

George Bruce Gordy, 75, of Pittsville passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Born December 22, 1948 he was the son of the late William Norman and Rosa Farlow Gordy. Bruce grew up in Pittsville and attended Pittsville High School. After High School, he served in the United States Army and once returning home went to work in the Auto body Industry. In his spare time, Bruce enjoyed playing pool.

He is survived by a brother, Robert E. Gordy; niece Susan Prouse (Rick); and great niece, Logan Helton. In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by a brother, William “Bill” Curtis Gordy.

A private family service will be held.
