

Gerald “Jerry” A. Perry, 83, of Salisbury passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at Aurora Senior Living in Manokin. Born May 1, 1932 in Salisbury he was the son of the late Edward L., Sr. and Julia E. Perry. Gerald was employed at Delmarva Power for over 40 years. He was a great sports fan and will be remembered for his love of baseball and the New York Yankees. He was active in local area sports including Fruitland Little League and the Salvation Army. Gerald is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley C. Perry; daughter, Robin P. Finley and her husband Gary; son Gerald “Micky” A. Perry, Jr.; four grandchildren, Gram P. Burkett and his wife Kacy, Erin E. Finley, Michael “Micky” D. Perry, and Justin T. Perry; three great-grandchildren, Ella Burkett, Avery Burkett, and Max Scott; brothers, Edward L. Perry, Jr., Calvin T. Perry, and Philip M. Perry; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Roger L. Perry; brother, Richard A. Perry; and sisters, Norma L. Elliott, Barbara E. Perry, and Janice R. Perry. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11am at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Gerald to Fruitland Little League, 200 South Brown Street, Fruitland, MD 21826.
