Gerald “Jerry” A. Nichols, Jr. 56, of Salisbury passed away peacefully Thursday, May 21, 2026, at his home with his wife and daughter by his side. Born December 9, 1969, he was the son of Gerald “Jerry” A. Nichols, Sr. and the late Patsy C. Nichols.
Jerry graduated from North Dorchester High School in 1987 and worked for UPS for 35 years where he was awarded 30 years as a safe driver, retiring in 2024. He enjoyed golfing and was Senior Club Champion at Great Hope Golf Course in 2021, enjoyed watching his daughter Taylor play softball, and going to the slots.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 33 years, Penni Nichols; daughter, Taylor Nichols; brother, James C. Nichols; nephews, Austin Nichols, Jeffrey Rose (Jamie), Justin Lowry (Katie) Derek Hanes (Laura), and Chad Lowry; nieces, Karli and Kari Schildknecht; sister-in-law Shelby Lowry (Mike) and Terri Shull; special friends, Preston and Sharon Bates and Brian Spedden, and Mike and Kim Jones.
A funeral service will be held Friday, May 29, 2026, at 11am at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Rev. Dr. George Patterson will officiate. Interment will follow in Dorchester Memorial Park in Cambridge.
