

Iris Annabelle Naggy, 83, of Salisbury passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 2, 2017. Born February 1, 1934 in Hebron, she was the daughter of the late Linwood Joseph Phippin and Lola Lula Ward Phippin. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her former husband, Frank Leonard Naggy on April 2, 2009 and one sister, Betty Lankford. Iris is survived by three loving children, Gary L. Naggy and wife Kim, Deborah Ann Suskin and husband Steven, and Brenda K. Carey and husband David; five grandchildren, Melissa, Andrew, Sara, Gary, Jr., and Gavin.; four great-grandchildren, Jaime, Logen, Ethen, and Clover; one brother, Richard S. Phippin, and one niece, Sharon Lankford Hampp. Iris graduated from High School in Hebron and then went to work for C&P Telephone Company for 30 years retiring in 1985. She was of Christian faith and attended Park Seventh Day Adventist Church in Salisbury. Iris was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and dear friend to all those whom had the pleasure of knowing her including dear friends Roy and Mary Jane, Burr, Louise, and her pet companion, Rocco. Family will receive friends and family from 6-8PM on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Bounds Funeral Home, 705 East Main, Salisbury, MD. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Greg Carlson officiating. Burial will follow at Springhill Memory Gardens.
