Janice Wilber, 68, of Salisbury, passed away surrounded by her immediate family on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at TidalHealth in Salisbury. She was the daughter of the late Judy “JeetaBelle” Cameron and Robert Marlin.
Janice was born in San Francisco, CA and was raised in the Washington, DC area. She graduated from Potomac Senior High School in Oxon Hill, MD in 1971. She attended Salisbury University and completed her nursing training through the U.S. Army. Janice served on active duty during Operation Desert Storm. She worked in nursing in various locations in Salisbury and eventually retired from Eastern Correctional Institution.
In retirement, Janice was an active volunteer with the Meals on Wheels program through the MAC Center. She was a member of the Wicomico Women’s Club, the Salisbury Elks Lodge and the Salisbury Moose.
Janice is survived by Alan, her husband of 35 years; 2 daughters: Jennifer (Ryan) Kenney of Mardela Springs, MD and Susan Wilber of Arlington, VA; and 2 cherished granddaughters: Abigail and Ella Kenney; and cousins V. Gail (Jim) Patarini of Eagle River, AK and Charles Edward Overstreet, Jr. of Laurel, MD.
A service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Nelson’s Memorial Church, 200 Main Street, Hebron, MD. The visitation will begin at 12pm followed by the funeral service at 1pm with Rev. Charles Fiore of Nelson’s Memorial Church officiating.
