Karen Rosalyn Evans of Corpus Christi, Texas, formerly of Salisbury, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home on May 28, 2022 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Towson, Maryland and graduated from Towson High School and Temple University. Rosalyn was the cherished daughter of Nancy Evans of Williamsport, Maryland and the late Evan Evans.
She is survived by her beloved sister Cathy Thompson and her niece Brenna Washington of Parkville, Maryland, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She leaves numerous friends at Gracepoint Church in Portland, Texas and Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Salisbury, Maryland where she was very active and a group leader. While living in Salisbury, she worked for Sylvan Learning Center and the Board of Elections in Wicomico County. “Roz” was known for her sense of style and her wit. Although she never had any children of her own, “Miss Rosalyn” tutored and mentored countless children and teens, several of whom stayed in touch with her for years.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 1PM at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury.
