Drex graduated from James M. Bennett Senior High in 2004 and later attended Le Cordon Bleu in Orlando Florida where he earned his AA degree in Culinary Arts. Most recently, he was working for Wolfgang Puck at Brownwood in Wildwood, Florida as a Sous Chef. He was a member of the Theta Delta Chi-Mu Triton Fraternity and tried to attend as many yearly events as he could.
Cooking was his true passion and he excelled at what he did. He will always be remembered as a diehard Dallas Cowboy Fan and could give you any football statistic you asked for.
In addition to his parents Kurt and Robyn he is survived by two brothers, Michael Drechsler (Niki Millman) and Nicholas Drechsler; sister, Sara Drechsler; nephew, Hunter Drechsler; paternal grandmother, Barbara Drechsler; two uncles and Godfathers, Mark Drechsler (Patty Drechsler) and Jamie Winship; maternal great-uncle, Dr. Winfred Malone; maternal great aunt, Lois Winship; several cousins, and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ed and Sharon Winship and paternal grandfather, Richard Drechsler; maternal great-aunt, Eleanor Malone; and his maternal aunt, Kristi Patterson.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, December 11 at 2pm at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury. Rev. Julie Lewis will officiate. Following the service, a reception will be served at the Hebron Fire House, S. Main St. Hebron, MD.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Drex (Unc) for his nephew Hunter Robert Drechsler C/O Michael F. Drechsler, 18509 Beaver Dam Rd, Lewes, DE 19958.
There will be a Memory box and cards available at the service for the guests to leave a memory of Drex.
