Mary "Great Kate" Kathleen Foster

Mary Kathleen Foster, also known as “Great Kate”, 96, of Salisbury went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 17, 2022 surrounded by her family and friends. Born February 6, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Francis (Mack) McDonald and Agnes (Garrett) McDonald.

She was a devoted member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church where she was very active. After she retired, she enjoyed spending her time volunteering for many organizations. She enjoyed, baking, reading and was a published writer.

She is survived by her three children, Mark Foster (Tina), Theresa Wimbrow (George), and Mary Moore (Michael); grandchildren, Buddy Ardis, Renee Moore, Corey Moore (Corey), Erin Moore, and Donald Foster; four great-grandsons; several nieces and nephews; two very close friends, Mary Ann Ware and Cathy Beers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald S. Foster; brother, Patrick McDonald and sister, Theresa McDonald Stout.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 28, 2022 at 11am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church , 535 Riverside Dr. in Salisbury where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will follow in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
