Nancy A. Scott

Nancy A. Scott was born September 5, 1934 in Salisbury Md. to Wilton and Virginia Abbott of Fruitland Md. She was a graduate of the class of 1952 in Wicomico High School. After graduating, she worked for Avery W. Hall Insurance from 1952 to 1963 and later worked for Cavanaugh Ford from 1973 to 1997.

In 1955 she married Wallace Parker who was the father of her three children, Clay Parker (Pat), Nancy Lynne Parker Patton (Les), and Susan Parker Shives (Phil). Wallace passed away in 1973. She later married Isaac Scott who passed away in 2002. She lost her beloved Burton Gordy in 2019.

She is survived by her three children, her sister Rose Marie Adkins and her brother Greg Abbott of Jupiter, Fl , several nephews and a niece, step daughter in law Ruth Scott and step son Bruce Scott (Lucille), grand children James Patton, Michael Parker, Brian Parker, and Steven Patton, Step granddaughter Kim Scott-Hensley, step grandson Arnie Scott, six great grand children and one great-great grandson.

She was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church in Fruitland Md. where she attended since she was three. She was also a member of The American Legion Auxiliary in Berlin, Md.

A family graveside service will be held at the Wicomico Memorial Park at 2:00 PM on May 21, 2023. In lieu of flowers, Nancy Scott suggested a donation to the St. Johns United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 236, Fruitland, MD 21826

She and her family would like to thank deep in their hearts her cousins, Judy Elliott, Sylvia Fields, Sherrie Messick, and friends from St. Johns, especially Shirley Sexton for all their loving help.
