Richard “Rich” Turner Farmer, 74, of Salisbury passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Salisbury he was the son of the late Robert B. Farmer and Lillian G. Adkins. After graduating from Wicomico Senior High, Rich joined the United States Air Force in 1960 and retired as a Staff Sergeant in 1980. Following his retirement from the United States Air Force he went to work at the Pentagon. In 1996 Rich returned to Salisbury and worked as a guard at ECI until his retirement. He was an avid sports fan especially the Orioles, the Baltimore Colts, and Ravens. He is survived by sister, Pat Post and her husband Barton, two nieces, Christy Rainey and Pamela Heck; and step mother, Mary Adkins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert B. Farmer and a stepfather, Samuel Adkins. Family is honoring Richard’s request that all services be private. Friends and family wishing to honor Rich may make donations to the MS Society or your local animal rescue.
