Robert “Bobby” Lee Davis, 88 of Salisbury passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023 at his daughter’s home in Willards. Born January 24, 1935 in Salisbury he was the son of the late Charles and Mildred Davis.
Bobby was a United States Army Veteran. He began working for Arthur and Frank Perdue and was employed for Perdue Farms for 30 years where he retired as a Supervisor. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball, loved bowling, and enjoyed going dancing. You would always see him with a smile on his face.
He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Leizear and her husband Dave and Belinda Davis and her husband Troy; six grandchildren, Melissa Welch, Sonya Pusey (Dean), Robbie Lynch, Matthew Lynch (Destiny), Lindsay Meadows (Jake), and Hailey Jensen (Bailey); fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Davis and Charles Davis; and a sister, Patsy Cooper. He is also survived by his companion, Josephine Davis.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11am at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may visit from 10am-11am. Rev. Howard Travers will officiate. Interment will follow in Pittsville Cemetery.
