Robert E. Brewer

Robert E. Brewer, 89, of Parsonsburg, Maryland, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, October 24, 2014. Born on October 3, 1925, in Cleveland, Tennessee he was the son of the late Oliver and June Rowe Brewer. Mr. Brewer was a World War II United States Army Veteran and served in the European Theatre from 1944-47. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Meuse Post 194. Mr. Brewer was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He served in many areas including being an ordained Deacon. He loved his church family and enjoyed singing hymns. Robert retired from Sears in 1988. After retiring he was an avid gardener and loved sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends. He was never happier than when he was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Eleanor Clarke Brewer; children: Steven E. Brewer (Tamara), Tamara Hill (John), Bill Taylor, Jr. (Kelley); grandchildren: Joshua Brewer (Sarah), Clint Taylor (Abby), Lilia and Alana Taylor, Taylor and Connor Hill and Jennifer Stapleton (Brandon); and great-grandchildren: Skylar, Logan and Addison Stapleton and several nieces and nephews. Robert is also survived by a sister, Elaine Brewer Johnson, of Cleveland, Tennessee as well as many friends including special friends Charlotte and Frank Caudill of Bethel, Delaware with whom they took many enjoyable trips to Pennsylvania and Tennessee. He was preceded in death by nine siblings.
