Virginia "Betty" Elizabeth Hargreaves, 95, of Salisbury and formerly of Pocomoke passed away peacefully on Monday, February 29, 2016 at Lakeside Assisted Living. Born September 2, 1920 in Pocomoke City, MD she was the daughter of the late Ruth Tyree Stevens and John H. Stevens. Her husband Bernard C. Hargreaves preceded her in death. She is survived by two children, John Stevens Adams, Sr. and wife Teresa, and Betsy Cottingham; two step children, Sue Parker and husband Robert, and Russell Hargreaves; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one son-in-law, Robert Sjoholm; several other loving family and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by two children, Ruth Sjoholm and James F. Adams, Jr. Services will be private.
