Walter Lasick

Fruitland: Walter Lasick, 89, of Fruitland, MD passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, October 11, 2015. Born July 27, 1926 in Richill, PA, he was the son of the late Mary Ann Prokop and Albert Lasick. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Mildred Marie Lasick; Four Children, Waltera J. McCall and husband Kirk of Chambersburg, PA, Carol Marie Wagner and husband David of Matthews, NC, Mary Pearl Lane and husband Michael of Salisbury, MD, and John Albert Lasick of Bowie, MD; Seven Grandchildren, Greg, Richard, Jennifer, Leighann, Paul, Eric, and Stephanie; Ten Great-Grandchildren, Mellissa, Caitlin, Cody, Hannah, Auston, Patrick, Cassidi, Joseph, Amelia, and Gracie Lynn; One Sister, Helen Schmeider. Mr. Lasick is also survived by numerous other family and friends. In addition to his parents, Walter is preceded in death by seventeen brothers and sisters. He was an honored WWII Veteran in the United States Army serving from 1944 to 1946. He was a devoted husband, loving father and friend to all that knew him. A Funeral Service to Celebrate Walters life will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 15, 2015 with calling hours an hour before at Bounds Funeral Home, 705 East Main Street, Salisbury, MD 21804.
