Born on December 23, 1937, Andrew was the son of the late Andres Flores and Grace Deleon. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, and his community as a firefighter for Kelly Air Force Base, a school bus driver for the Northside ISD and a Crossing Guard for the City of San Antonio. His commitment to service and family remained a guiding force throughout his life.
Andrew is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Yolanda V. Flores. Together they built a loving family that includes their children: Andrew V. Flores III (Laura Flores), Jaqueline Flores and Jessica Flores-Peoples (Marcus Peoples). He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren— Andrew Flores IV, Aaron Flores, Cassie J Peoples, Marcus (Guero) Peoples Jr., Logan Peoples and Braden Peoples - and a cherished great-grandfather to Andie Flores.
Andrew is preceded in death by his great grandson Andrew Flores V.
January 16, 2020, Andrew received a kidney from his granddaughter, Cassie J.
Andrew found great joy in attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, baking for his family, loving his pets and reading. He was a steady presence—kind, wise, and deeply loyal—and will be remembered for his unwavering support and quiet strength.
