Angela Martinez

Angela Martinez, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, entered rest August 18, 2014 at the age of 92. A native of San Antonio, she was born to Felipe and Virginia Sanchez on July 9, 1922. Ms. Martinez was a member of the DAV Chapter 25, and also a member of St. James the Apostle Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmy Martinez and is survived by their daughters, Virginia M. Garcia and husband Henry, Elizabeth A. Ayala and husband Gerardo; grandchildren: Richard Garcia and wife Marcy, Leticia Cardenas and husband Omar, Javier G. Ayala and wife Laura, Miguel A. Ayala and wife Lauren; great-grandchildren: Sophia, Noah, and Ben Cardenas, Ava Garcia, Michael Sandin, Christopher, Andi, and Rylan Ayala; sister, Ernestina Sanchez. The family will receive friends at 5:00p.m., Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Friday, August 22, 2014 to celebrate a 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church.
