

Born on February 17, 1919, Antonia lived a long and fulfilling life rooted in faith, family, and service to others. On November 11, 1945, she married the love of her life, Max Garcia, at San Fernando Cathedral. Together, they shared 68 years of marriage and built a loving family legacy.
Antonia is survived by her daughter, Ann Marie Goehringer, and her son, Gabriel Garcia (Mary Horelka). She was a proud grandmother to Aaron James, Theresa Ann (Jordan) and their mother Mary Bennet Garcia(Daughter in law), Maria Rocha family, as well as to Alex and Delores Hernandez, Antonio De la Cruz family, Emma Farias, Janie Hernandez, Carmen Benson, Eleanor Cruz, Estella Edward Arispe; Great grandchildren Benicio, and Olivia. She is also remembered fondly by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Max Garcia; her children Abel Garcia (Mary Bennett) and Rose Elda Pechazka; and her siblings Juanita, Patrorina, Albina, Guadalupe, and Raymond.
Antonia will be remembered for her warm heart and giving spirit. She enjoyed cooking and sewing, and dedicated much of her time to serving others through her volunteer work with St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Meals on Wheels.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate nursing staff at Knopp Nursing Home for the care and love they provided to their beloved mother.
A visitation for Antonia will be held Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. A rosary will occur Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. A funeral mass will occur Friday, October 31, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Gerard's Catholic Church, 1523 Iowa St, San Antonio, TX 78203. A graveside service will occur Friday, October 31, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 11:50 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
