

Aurora R. Ramirez, beloved wife, loving mother, and wonderful grandmother, entered eternal rest on November 4, 2016 at the age of 90. Born in Laredo, Texas on November 15, 1925 to Ascencion and Josefina Rodriguez; she has reunited with her parents, granddaughter Melissa Ann Gomez, and siblings: Alicia Rodriguez, Armando Rodriguez and Manuela Rodriguez. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Julian Ramirez; children: Irma (Edward) Gomez, Gracie (Richard) Luhrs, Sylvia Ramirez (Jorge Cedillo), Diane Bernal, Julian (Peggy) Ramirez, Norma (Mike) Canno, Mark Anthony (Thelma) Ramirez, John (Belinda) Ramirez; grandchildren: Edward Jr., Charles, Rebekah, Tracie, Ashley, Leslie, Sarah, Jennifer, Chris, Cline, Aquiles, Joseph, Bethany, Micah, Marshall, Darian, Melissa, Adrian, Melanie; great-grandchildren: Cadence, RJ, Isaiah, Jenabe, Roman, Mikayla, Caleb, Micah, Elijah, Jalen, Aly, Ashton, Paisley; siblings: Gilbert (Mary) Rodriguez, Enrique Rodriguez, Erasmo (Margie) Rodriguez, Virgie (Mike) Dovalina; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Aurora was a woman of faith, she loved her Lord and Savior and Virgin de Guadalupe. She was a frugal and generous woman who always tried helping others. She kept busy with spending time with her family and maintaining her fruit trees and watching her favorite tv shows, Cazo Cerado, Let’s Make a Deal, The Price is Right, and the Hallmark channel. Although her favorite color was purple, she enjoyed staying festive in all colors with her clothing, make-up and accessories. She had a special touch with tamales and rice in the kitchen and her favorite thing to collect was roosters. Her love and presence will be missed dearly by all who knew her. The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart the funeral home on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 8:45 a.m. to Celebrate her life with a Mass of Resurrection at St. Ann’s Catholic Church at 9:15 a.m. Interment will follow in Ft.
