Consuelo P. Tellez

Consuelo P. Tellez, born October 14, 1926, entered into eternal rest on February 21, 2014 at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jose S. Tellez. She is survived by her children Joe R. Tellez (wife Diane), and Rose Marie Albritton (husband Mark), her sisters, Eva Flynn, Mary Helen Brown, and Rose Marie de la Pena, her brother Richard de la Pena, five grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Consuelo was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. During her children’s years at St. Mary’s Catholic School she participated in the Parent-Teacher Club, and Library Club, and often volunteered to assist on school field trips. In later years she took art classes and developed into a skilled painter, in addition, she was a long time member of the Little Flower Catholic Church Altar Society. Her home was always open to visits by friends and relatives, whether for a brief visit or a week-long stay. Her hospitality will be missed by all who knew her. A visitation will be at Roy Akers on February 25 from 5 pm to 9pm with a rosary to be recited at 7pm. A funeral mass will be held at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower on February 26 at 10am. Interment will follow at San Fernando II.
