Elvira R. Rangel

Elvira R. Rangel, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 1, 2012, at the age of 87. She was born in Mexico, to parents, Pablo and Josefa Rivas, on November 27, 1924. She will always be remembered for the love and dedication she had for her family, and she will be deeply missed. Elvira was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of over 20 years, Concepcion Rangel; brothers, Benito, Gilberto and Arturo Rivas; sisters, Evangelina Estrada and Consuelo R. DeVegas. She is survived by her daughters, Martha R. Pastrano and Oralia Cruz; grandchildren, Ernesto Pastrano, Jovani Pastrano, Jessica C. Garcia (Ramiro), Jennifer Cruz, Robert W. Polk III, and Samanatha Polk; great-grandchildren, Vanessa Willborn, Lorraine Pastrano, Jasmine Pastrano, Jovani Pastrano Jr., Francesca Pastrano, Gabriel Pastrano, Alicia Ariana Garcia, Ramiro Garcia III, and Roman Garcia; great-great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Cisneros, Jaekob Cisneros, Domenick Cisneros, Owen Galvan, Aiden Perez and Logan Pastrano; sisters, Amalia Cardenas and Amelia Duplecy; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to acknowledge Elvira’s special care-giver, Dolores McClain, for her kind help during this difficult time. The family will receive friends at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 N. Main, on Sunday, November 4, 2012, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart the funeral home the following morning, Monday, November 5, 2012, at 9:00 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 15825 Bexar Street, La Coste, Texas 78039.
