

He was born October 26, 1927 in Rocksprings, Texas to Mauricio and Luciana Gonzales. Served in the U.S. Army and married Irene Urias in 1950. He worked for Thorp Laundry in Sonora, Texas for 12 years, later moved to San Antonio where he worked Civil Service at Fort Sam Houston Laundry for 25 years. He retired and started working part time at Ameri-Maintenance Service at Fredrick Refrigeration. He had to quit working all together due to Kidney Disease and start Dialysis which was for 7 years. In February 2005 he received a Kidney Transplant. He was a member of El Calvario Baptist Church, where he served as a trustee. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Irene Gonzales of 64 years, parents Mauricio and Luciana, and brothers Eduardo and Amador Gonzales. He is survived by his two daughters: Edna Gonzales, and Sylvia (Alfredo) Losoya; sister Eloisa Favila; 5 grandchildren: Mark Gonzales, Alfredo (Valerie), Alexander, Albert (Stephanie) Losoya, and Jennifer (Ernest) Mendoza; 17 great-grandchildren: Ariel, Mark, Nicholas, Angel, Larissa Gonzales, Alexander II, Joshua, Kayla, Valerie, Audrey, Alysen, Diego, Ava, Amaris, and Abegail Losoya, Alondra Schultz, Jazmine Mendoza; 3 Great-Great- Granddaughters: Amberlynn Diaz, Shelby Alonso, and Avery Losoya. Also many Nieces and Nephews, and friends. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations are made to El Calvario Baptist Church or a charity of your choice. Visitation will be Wednesday January 31, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at El Calvario Church 2522 W. Houston St. On February 1, 23018 the Funeral Procession will depart at 10:30 a.m. for an 11:15 a.m. interment at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery
