Felicitas S. Chavez, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and sister entered rest on January 27, 2014 at the age of 88. She was born in Goliad, Texas to Genaro and Teodosa Salinas on March 30, 1925. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Silviano Chavez and their son, Roy Chavez. She leaves to cherish her memory, children: Silviano Chavez, Jr. and wife Carmen, David Chavez and wife Mary Ann, Hector Chavez and wife Patricia, Norma Chavez, Gracie Chavez, Abel Chavez and wife Sara, Belinda Jernigan and husband Rob; 25 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; 1 brother; 3 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Friday, January 31, 2014 to celebrate a 10: 00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church.
