Fermina Almaguer, beloved mother and grandmother, entered rest on January 13, 2015 at the age of 89. A native of San Antonio, she was born to Venturo E. and Maria Romero on November 1, 1925. Fermina retired from Civil Service with Kelly AFB after 25 years of service. She attended Grace Presbyterian Church prior to her illness. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 siblings, husband Joe Almaguer, and their daughter, Arlene Doris Almaguer. She is survived by her son, James J. Almaguer and wife Alice; grandchildren, James Aaron Almaguer and Alyssa Marie Almaguer. The family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. A Chapel Service will be held at the funeral home Monday, January 19, 2015 at the funeral home with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery III.
