Francisca S. Rivera

Francisca is survived by her siblings Rosa Hernandez, Esperanza “Hope” Trinidad, and Daniel Salazar, her children Diane L. Shelton, Belinda Andersen, Elvira Andersen, and Patrick “Henry” Rivera, and her 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her 13 siblings, husband Enrique “Hank” Rivera, her children Ruben Rivera and Sandra Byars.

Francisca was born on March 10, 1926, in Kyle TX to Teofilo and Rosa Salazar. She was the 2nd born of 16 siblings. She went to De Zavala Elementary and finished up to 7th grade at Cooper Jr High School. She was withdrawn from school to concentrate on supporting the family in the cotton fields. She was married at the age of 28 years old and continued that courtship until her husband died in June 19, 1999. After a successful career working at Deutsch Corporation; she dedicated her remaining time to providing and supporting her family.

Francisca will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of being part of her life. She was always willing to open her home and heart to all family and friends. Her loving kindness will continue to live on with all that loved her. We will never forget and will always carry her memory in our hearts. We thank you for all that you did for our family and will always cherish the time we spent with you.
