Guadalupe (Lupe) Lopez

Guadalupe (Lupe) Lopez, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend was welcomed by our Lord on Saturday, April 27, 2013. Born in Nordheim, Texas on January 28, 1924 to Emilio and Anastasia Lopez. She met the love of her life, Albert G. Lopez, with whom they had four children. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter; husband and is survived by their four children: Doris M. Fuentes, Mary H. Wood, Albert A. Lopez and Adam Lopez. She was blessed with beautiful grandchildren; her little angel Lorrie Lynn Lopez, Anna Marie Villarreal, Jeffrey S. Wood, Eugene Fuentes, Jr., Jennifer Fuentes. She was a very brilliant woman despite having to leave school early in life and was proud of her career accomplishments which included, aiding the war effort by testing machine guns and later becoming a supervisor at Frost Bank. She was intelligent, loving and was blessed with a wonderful sense of humor. She loved to read, and was always good for pleasant conversation. To have known her was a blessing and she will be truly missed by her family and anyone fortunate enough to have met her. The family will receive friends at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. to celebrate a 10:00 a.m. Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
