Isabel M. Palacios

She was born in Floresville, Texas on November 5, 1938 to her parents, the late Eustacio Marin and Jesusa Chavez.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Consuelo Puente and Elida Gutierrez; and her brother, Manuel Marin.

Isabel leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 61 years, Eloy R. Palacios, Sr.; her children, Maria Alma Lovett; Eloy Palacios, Jr., Joseph Martin Palacios (Betty), Barbara Perales (Leonard), and Mary Alice Martinez (Adam); her grandchildren, Crystal Hinojosa, Alicia Lovett, Donald Lovett, Joseph Lovett, Sarah Lovett, Samantha Lovett, Kathleen McDaniel, Eloy Palacios III, Robert Palacios, Rodolfo Palacios, Alyssa Palacios, Jacob Palacios, Charles Rentschler III, Michael Perales, Marisela Perales, Adam Martinez, Robyn Martinez, Vanessa Gonzales, and Vincent Martinez; her great-grandchildren, Sierra Hinojosa, Jesse Hinojosa Jr., Isabel Hinojosa, Landon Lovett, Gaige Lovett, Asher Medina, Gabriel Farquhar, Aiden Lovett, Liam Lavelle, Abigail Lovett, Thachur Adamson, Titan Adamson, Angelina Palacios, Rene Palacios, Ashton Palacios, Ethan Palacios, Derek Arias, Luis Arias, Isaiah Arias, Genesis Martinez, Erick Monsalve, Anthony Monsalve, Julian Gonzales, and Josiah Gonzales; and her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who all adored her.

The family will be receiving friends for a Visitation on Wednesday, January 15 at Roy Akers Funeral Home – 515 N. Main Ave. – from 5 PM to 9 PM, with a Rosary to be recited at 7 PM. The Funeral Procession will depart at 8:30 AM on Thursday, January 16 and arrive at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower – 1715 N. Zarzamora St. 78201 – for a Mass at 9 AM. Burial at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery – 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd. 78209 – will follow at the conclusion of the service at 10:45 AM.
