Jacob L. Salinas

Jacob L. Salinas went to be with our Lord on July 14, 2020 at the age of 49. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, on June 25, 1971 to Santos L. and Otilia Salinas. Jacob packed a lot of living in those 49 years.

He was a martial arts champion in his younger years, enjoyed fishing, swimming, cooking and giving a helping hand to anyone in need. His proudest and fondest memories were as a Navy Submariner aboard the USS Bremerton (SSN – 698). His love of animals was also a prevalent part of his life as he rescued many dogs and turtles that were in need. His latest endeavor was as an international lucha libre wrestling promoter fondly known as El Papalote. He also used his character to help support the Bexar County Sherriff’s programs, San Antonio State Hospital, and numerous other businesses around San Antonio.

Jacob was a gentle giant with the biggest of hearts and he will be missed by all who knew him. He was a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle and friend.

Jacob is preceded in passing by his father: Santos L. Salinas. He is survived by his young beautiful wife Nicole; his mother Otilia Salinas; siblings: Anthony (Rosemary) Resendez, Cecilia (John) Roberts, Edward Salinas, Marian (Ray) Gonzales, Steven (Alice) Salinas and numerous nephews and nieces.
