Jesusa C Martinez

Jesusa C. Martinez born on January 17, 1928 to Nicolas and Petra Cruz, entered eternal rest on September 21, 2014 at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Lorenzo Martinez; siblings: Mary, Virginia, Petra and Juan, son, Roberto Martinez and granddaughter, Angela Martinez. She is survived by her children: Jesus Martinez (Cynthia), Maria Georgina Gonzales (Julian E. Jr.), Jose L. Martinez Jr., Ignacio Martinez, Maria Teresa Cardenas (Andy), siblings; Nicolas Jr., and Jose; daughter in law, Esther Baylor; 13 grandchildren; 12 great –grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and best friends; Leonor and Irene. Jesusa will be remembered for her love of gardening, being with her dog Chico, feeding birds and neighborhood dogs, and playing bingo with family and friends. The family will receive guests at 5: 00 p.m., Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Monday, September 29, 2014 to celebrate a 10:00 a.m. Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
