

Jim Covalt , beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, entered rest on March 2, 2015 at the age of 76. A native of San Antonio, he was born on July 22, 1938 to James and Argentina Covalt. Jim honorably served his country in the U.S. Army, he later retired from Oak Farms Dairy after 20 years. He now reunites with his parents; previous wife, Kenneth Ann; daughters, Barbara Ann, and Lisa Blanton; brother, William. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Marianne; children: Joan (Joe) Zimmerle, Sally (Henry) Stephens, Joe ( Diana) Jarramillo, Debbie Nold, Barbara (Donnie) Petrash, David Thompson, Kimberly (Rolando) Lopez; grandchildren: April Fay, Amber Sarabia,Crystal (David) Knetig, Connie Summers, Wayne Summers, Elizabeth Holliday, Donielle Hernandez, Vanessa Jenkins, Landis Jones and Esai James Lopez; 11 great grandchildren; siblings: Evelyn ( Glenn) Pluchinsky, Lois Covalt and Dorothy Covalt; aunt Lilly Lemaster and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of friends. Jim will be remembered for his sense of humor, always making light of any situation, and his very caring nature. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers. A Chapel Service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday March 11, 2015 also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Aldersgate Church Food Bank, 502 Kayton (78210) or charity of choice.
