

Joe Jesse Quintero, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother entered rest on June 30, 2014. He was born to Concepcion and Antonia Quintero in Waelder, Texas, on July 18, 1943, later moving to San Antonio. He attended Burbank High School, San Antonio College and St. Philip’s College. Mr. Quintero proudly and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. Throughout his life he was a journeyman machinist at Turbine Company until closing and became a jack-of-all-trades. He went on to own his own business for over eighteen years. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a granddaughter, Dominique Nicole Quintero. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Guadalupe S Quintero; sons: Anthony R Quintero (Wajita), Jesse J Quintero, and Adam Quintero (Randi); grandchildren: Amanda Quintero-Adalco (Isaac), Lauren A Quintero (Eric), and Adam J Quintero; great-grandchildren: Aiden Adalco and Abigail Pulido and four sisters. Always a proud father, he bragged on his children, grandchildren and family members’ accomplishments and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 8:30 a.m., Monday, July 7, 2014 to celebrate a 9:00 a.m. Mass at St. Cecilia Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
