

Ladislas Whitlow, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 23, 2012, at the age of 80. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 29, 1932. Ladislas will always be remembered for the love and dedication she held for her family and she will be deeply missed. She was the “neighborhood mom” who treated every child as if they were her own, as well as an excellent cook, who’s recipes will be treasured for years to come. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Maria Campos; son, Rene Whitlow; brother, Jesse Campos; and her Aunt Margaret. Ladislas is survived by her son, Andre Whitlow; daughter, Michelle Holguin and husband Robert; stepson, John David Whitlow; grandchildren, Robert Holguin III, Jessica Holguin, Matthew Holguin and Christina Holguin; great-grandchildren, Mariah Guevara, Lilliana Holguin and Adalyn Holguin; sister, Mary Nelson; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to acknowledge the professionals of Princeton Place and VITAS Hospice for their kind help during this difficult time. The family will receive friends at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 N. Main, on Sunday, December 30, 2012, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart the funeral home the following morning, Monday, December 31, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann Catholic Church, 210 St. Ann St., where services will conclude.
