

Born on June 25, 1930, in San Antonio, Lucy lived a full and vibrant life rooted in family, love, and joy. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 50 years, Juan M. Camarillo; her beloved son, George R. Ovalle; and her grandson-in-law, Gilbert M. Castanon.
Lucy is survived by her loving daughter, Sylvia O. Lozano; her grandchildren, Jennifer Castanon and Amy Castillo; and her great-grandchildren, Matthew Castanon, Rebecca Castanon, Elizabeth Castanon, and Andrew Tamez. She is also survived by her grandson-in-law, Joe Castillo, and her son-in-law, Vidal Lozano. Additionally, Lucy is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Lucy found joy in life’s simple pleasures—dancing, shopping, and sharing meals at MK Davis, one of her favorite local spots. She lived her life with grace, laughter, and an unshakable love for her family.
Her legacy of strength, warmth, and unforgettable moments will continue to live on through those who loved her most.
A visitation for Lucy will be held Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. A prayer service will occur Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. A chapel service will occur Friday, July 18, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. A graveside service will occur Friday, July 18, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.
