Lupe E. Orosco, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, entered rest on October 25, 2010 at the age of 89. A native of San Antonio, she was born to Antonio and Margarita Escalante on November 1, 1920. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Esmael V. Orosco and a daughter, Luisa Mendez. She is survived by four children: Diana O. Medina and husband Ernest, Esmael V. Orosco, Jr., Margarita O. Contreras and husband Jose, Sarita Orosco and Deborah Gutierrez, including 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Antonio Escalante; sister, Dominga Hernandez; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at 4:00 p.m., Friday, October 29, 2010 for a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m.. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, October 30, 2010 to celebrate a 9:00 a.m., Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1321 El Paso (78207).
