Maria De La Luz Duarte, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, entered rest on March 15, 2012 at the age of 80. Maria was a native of San Antonio, born to Crisanto and Alejandria Moran on March 4, 1932. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Guadalupe G. Duarte. She is survived by her children: Elizabeth M. Duarte, Alejandro Duarte (Melissa), Cristina M. Duarte (Frank Garza), Steven Duarte (Leticia); grandchildren: Inez Marie Martinez (Joe), Alejandro G. Duarte (Stephanie), Jacob R. Duarte (Yadira), Alexandria Duarte-Garza, Frankie Duarte-Garza, Samuel Duarte, Gabriel Duarte and Matthew Duarte; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Crisanto and David Moran; sisters, Carmen Moran Vidal and Concepcion Moran Alvarado. The family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, March 18, 2012 with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Monday, March 19, 2012 to celebrate a 10:00 a.m. Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
