Maria was a deeply loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched everyone who had the blessing of knowing her. She is survived by her devoted son, Thomas Anthony Teran (Patricia), whom she loved and adored with her whole heart as her one and only son, Tomas. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Thomas Anthony Teran II (Ashley), Robert James Teran (Carla), and Jessica Teran; and her beloved great-grandchildren, John Aiden, Thomas Anthony III, Marisol Araceli, Michael Flores, River Shawn, and Mia Isabella. She is also survived by her sister, Felicitas Lane (Joseph), along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Refugia Chavez and Susano Diaz. Her sisters Eduarda Schwarzbach and Antonia “Tonie” Diaz.
Maria will be remembered for her incredibly kind heart, her unwavering generosity, and the way she made everyone feel loved, seen, and special. She found joy in life’s simple, beautiful moments. She loved knitting, baking, and arts and crafts, and nothing made her happier than creating something with her hands to share with those she loved.
Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she lovingly gave each of them special names that reflected her deep bond with them. She had a way of making every person feel like they were her favorite. As family and loved ones left her home, she would gently remind them, “Your little angels are with you,” words that will continue to bring comfort and peace.
Maria’s faith was the foundation of her life. She loved the Virgin Mary deeply and spent much of her time in prayer, always lifting up her family and others with quiet strength and devotion.
She also found happiness in the simple comforts of life—especially her favorite meals, cheese enchiladas and pizza, which always brought her joy. She loved listening to the radio at full blast especially if Vicente Fernandez was playing.
Above all, Maria loved without limits. Her life was a beautiful example of compassion, faith, and selfless love. Though she will be deeply missed, her love will continue to guide and surround her family every day.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts she nurtured, the lives she touched, and the love she gave so freely. She will be forever remembered, forever cherished, and forever loved.
