It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary Jane Georges, who passed away on February 13, 2025, at the age of 91. Born in San Antonio, Texas, on July 25, 1933, Mary Jane was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend.
Mary Jane was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Albert Georges, and her parents, Roque Martinez and Leonor Reyna. She is survived by her son, Joe Georges, and her siblings: Nick Martinez, Joe Martinez, Andrew Martinez, Jesse Martinez, Sally Hernandez, and Rosa Martinez.
Throughout her life, Mary Jane was known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. She found joy in the simple moments and created lasting memories with those she loved. Her spirit and compassion will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A visitation for Mary will be held Monday, March 10, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. A rosary will occur Monday, March 10, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 10703 Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78230. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:20 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
