Nick was born in Laredo, Texas on February 7, 1995, the third child of Dr. David E. Garza and Linda Kazen Garza. As a child and then teen, Nick loved the outdoors and adventure, immersed himself in Scouting, and earned his Eagle at the end of that trail. In Laredo he graduated from J.B. Alexander High School where he developed an interest in business, then earned a business degree (supply chain management) from Texas A&M in College Station. During his college years he also discovered a passion for law, leading to his graduation from SMU’s Dedman School of Law.
In adulthood, Nick was a very serious and quiet young man, but with a beautiful smile that was infectious when he let it rip. He was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher David Garza, maternal grandfather, Antonio “Tony” Kazen, maternal grandmother, Josefa “Josie” Kazen, and paternal uncle Roberto “Bobby” Garza. He is survived by his parents, David and Linda Garza, and brother Joseph Garza, paternal grandparents Javier and Cristina Garza and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Family and friends of David, Linda, and Joseph are welcome to attend the funeral service for Nicholas on July 1, 2023, at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 N Loop 1604 E, San Antonio, TX. Viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m., Rosary Service at 11:00 a.m., then a Celebration of Life.
