

Born on September 27, 1936, Pedro lived a life full of warmth, hard work, adventure, and deep love for his family. He was a man who found joy in the simple things—spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting, and tending to the land. But above all, his greatest joy came from being with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Pedro is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Lucy Duran; his son Daniel Duran and wife Debbie; his daughters Kristine Duran and fiancé Bart Elias, and Eva Papay and husband Greg; and his cherished grandchildren: D’Hannah Duran, D’Vaughn Duran, Nicolas Papay, and Isabella Papay.
Throughout his life, Pedro loved to travel and experience the beauty of the world—from the vastness of the Grand Canyon to the charm of Paris. His spirit of adventure and appreciation for life’s wonders left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his unwavering love for his family, and his quiet strength. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.
A visitation for Pedro will be held Monday, July 28, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. A chapel service will occur Monday, July 28, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. A graveside service will occur Monday, July 28, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at - Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, TX 78209.
