Raul Mancillas

Raul Mancillas, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend; entered the heavenly gates on March 5, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. Born to Francisco and Juanita in Galveston, Texas on November 23, 1926; he reunites with his parents, wife Mamie, and daughter Yolanda. A loving and giving soul, Raul enjoyed helping family and friends whenever needed. He enjoyed passing time working on cars or fishing; but his most precious and memorable moments were spent with his nieces, nephews, and his generations of grand-babies. Raul is survived by his children: Juanita Benitez, Irma Sanchez, Gerardo Mancillas; grandchildren: Erika Sanchez, Mamie (Franklin) Garrett, Elaine (Richard) Lopez, Robert Sanchez, Raul A. Mancillas; 18 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and brothers David and Daniel Cardenas. The family will be receiving guests at Roy Akers funeral home on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart the funeral home on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. to celebrate a 10:00 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
