Reymundo Garcia

Reymundo Garcia, age 83, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Reymundo was born in San Antonio, Texas to Cecilia D. and Carlos C. Garcia on November, 30, 1941. He served 21 years in the United States Air Force, during which he spent 13 months in Vietnam, before retiring as a Master Sergeant and went on to work in Civil Service until 2000. Reymundo was a member of the Knights of Columbus for numerous years and loved to spend time with his family, playing golf with his son and brothers, as well as hunting, camping, and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents; and his siblings, William Garcia, Joe Garcia, Irma Collazo, Cecilia Garcia, and Rosie Lombrano. Reymundo is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Maria E. Garcia; his only son, Rey A. Garcia (Jennifer); his granddaughter, Crystal; his remaining siblings, Mario Garcia, Ramon Garcia, and Maria Louisa Garcia; his sister-in-law Terry Espinoza (Pete); his god daughter, Christina Espinoza; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and god children.

A visitation for Reymundo will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 6:00 pm at Funeraria del Angel Roy Akers, 515 N Main Avenue, San Antonio, Texas 78205. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home the following day, Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 9:15 for a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at San Juan De Los Lagos Catholic Church, 3231 El Paso St, San Antonio, Texas 78207. Burial will immediately follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78209.
