Richard M. Garza

Richard M. Garza, born January 31, 1928 entered God’s loving arms on November 25, 2015 at the age of 87. Richard served his country as a Cpl. in the US Army and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rafael G. and Maria M. Garza; wife, Olga Y. Garza; sisters, Estella Celedon and Yolanda Coronado. He is survived by his brother, Roy M. Garza and wife Emelia; sister, Gloria G. Rivas; his children, Diana Darlene Sanchez and husband Mike V., David R. Garza and wife Dale Ann and Ralph J. Garza; grandchildren; Jason Garza and wife Andrea, Jovita M. Cruz and husband Leroy, Ryan Garza, Mike Sanchez, Jr., Andrew N. Garza, Ronnie L. Conlin and wife Heather, Michele L. Lynch and husband Eddie and Dylan Garza; great-grandchildren, Leslie Moore, Genevee Garza, Amanda Garza, Jacob A. Cruz, Jason I. Cruz, London Conlin, Benjamin Lynch, Jacob Lynch and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Roy Akers Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. A procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015 to conduct the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at The Basilica of National Shrine of the Little Flower; 1715 N. Zarzamora. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
