After moving to San Antonio, Bob met Mary Evelyn Hamel and was married on April 25, 1953. Pope John Paul II blessed their marriage on their 50th anniversary. Bob was a very dedicated husband to his Mary who now resides in a memory care center, missing her husband.
Bob was employed as Trainmaster with Southern Pacific Railroad for 36 years.
Bob enjoyed family vacations to Medina Lake, Rockport, and Port Aransas as well as cruises. He loved being with his children and grandchildren during these adventures.
Bob enjoyed his hobbies of gardening, hunting and fishing, but his passion was woodworking. He made many crafts for family and friends and helped to rebuild his church of 26 years, St. Stanislaus of Bandera, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus #10258 and both Mary and him were members of St. Vincent de Paul. They made many friends during those 26 years.
Being the youngest of 6, he was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings to include his twin sister.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years: Mary; children: Joe (Annie) Lutton, Dr. Rick (Elaine) Lutton, Barbara (Marvin) Reininger and Becky (Chuck) Olson; grandchildren: Nick, Robbie, Zach, Tess, Bo, Vince, Courtney, Katie, Marli, Jordan and Joey and 11 great-grandchildren.
