On Friday, July 17, 2020, Rogelio Rodriguez, loving husband and father of 6 children passed away at the age of 65. Rogelio was born on January 9, 1955 in Muzquiz Coahuila to Celso Rodriguez and Maria de Jesus Alonzo.
Rogelio was a master mason- a true artist of his craft and took part in 2 family owned businesses. Rogelio had a passion for nature, loved to garden and bird watch, but above all things he was a family man. He will be most remembered for his humor and kind, compassionate spirit.
Rogelio is survived by his father, Celso and his mother, Maria de Jesus; his loving wife, Maria; 6 children: Rogelio Jr., Julio Cesar, Ivette, Veronica, Maribel and Gabriela; 4 brothers and sisters; 14 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to restrictions on public gatherings, the visitation for Rogelio at Roy Akers Funeral Home – 515 North Main Ave. 78205 – will be limited to only 40 people in the building at a time. There will be a public visitation period on Thursday, July 23 from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM for brief visits with the family. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm in accordance with the limitations. On Friday, July 24, 2020 the Funeral Procession will depart at 9:30 AM for a 10:00 AM Mass at San Juan de Los Lagos at 10:00 a.m. If the building is at its capacity, you will be asked to wait in your vehicle until a space opens. Face coverings are required to be worn at all times. The family also requests attendees refrain from hugging and touching and keeping social distance at all times.
