Romeo Cantu

Romeo Cantu, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, entered rest on July 9, 2011 at the age of 95. He was born on August 26, 1915 to Ramiro and Evangelina Cantu. Romeo is now joined in heaven with his loving wife of 62 years, Ana Maria; his parents and brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving family, children: Robert L. Cantu and wife Sylvia, Ana Maria Matyear and husband Derek, Alicia B. Cantu and Bill Fontano, Richard R. Cantu and wife Susan, Gerardo Cantu and wife Priscilla; grandchildren: Robert “Bobby” Cantu, Sylvia Ann Gonzales and husband Gilbert, Richard Cantu II and wife Maricela, Kathy Sickle and husband Brian, Annie Mandujano and husband Nathan, Gabriel Cantu and Amanda Cantu; great-grandchildren: Richard Matthew, Salma and Ava Cantu; brother, Jose Ramos and numerous nieces and nephews. Romeo will be remembered for his hard work and love for his family. The family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2011 to celebrate a 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Paul Catholic Church, corner of St. Cloud & Sutton.
