Salvador Torres, entered rest on November 23, 2012 at the age of 97. He was born to Ramon and Maria Torres on May 1, 1915. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Salvador Gerardo Torres; wife, Ramona I. Torres. He is survived by their daughters, Consuelo T. Benitez and husband Amadeo, Maria C. Torres; grandchildren: Ava J. Benitez, Susie Benitez, Steven Benitez; great-grandchildren: Daniel Arguello, Jessica Contreras, Nathan Gordon, Summer Benitez, Steven Benitez, and Zoe Benitez; brother, Jesse Torres; step-brother, Phil Barcenas. The family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Monday, December 3, 2012 to celebrate a 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Joseph South San Antonio Catholic Church.
