Shara Dawn Brunson

Shara Dawn Brunson of Uvalde was welcomed into the arms of her Savior on May 24, 2025 at the age of 48. She was born May 18, 1977 in El Paso, Texas to Donna Maddox and Jack Brunson. She is survived by her 3 children, Harley Alaniz of Katy, Texas, Kyli Alaniz of Brookshire, Texas, and Tyler Robinson of Dallas, Texas; her grandson Patrick Reilly; her brother Shawn Brunson and wife Tammy of Helotes, Texas; her sister Shelli Alaniz and husband Stephen of Brookshire, Texas; and one nephew and 5 nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack Brunson and Donna Davenport.

Shara marked the world with her quick smile, infectious laugh, and her fierce passion. She loved so deeply and the lasting impact of her art, creativity, and ability to see love and find hearts in everything was a representation of how big she loved. Shara had little fear in life, and was very protective of the people (and pets) she loved. Her constant companions were her two little dogs, Foot and Tiny, who traversed the world with her, no matter what she was experiencing. Shara made her life on her own terms, and had such an enduring spirit that carried her through the most difficult moments in her life. Despite her own personal struggles, she always maintained her expression of faith in God, as the One constant in her life. Shara’s life is both celebrated and grieved, as her hugs…her laugh…and her fierce love will be deeply missed.

Memorial Services for Shara will take place Sunday, June 22nd, 2025 in Campwood, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to donate toward the Boaz House in Shara's name.
